Week 8 - João Sanches


Hi, there!

This is probably the last blog post I'll do about Cosmic Delivery, as the semester is almost over. This week, we had MOJO and collected over 20 people played and answered our google forms, so that's great! 

GAME

About the game itself, the tiles of the game were updated since the last post, to improve the aesthetics of the game:


Level 2

There was also a introduction of a new obstacle: rotating star! (Note: the name of the obstacle is subject to change in the future). We placed this obstacle in level 2, so that the player has to time his enterance in the wormhole, so that when he gets out he doesnt collide with this rotating object! 

The rotating star is that long white object that is in the image above. This area in this image has to be improved in the future based on feedback, because it is a bit confusing and frustrating(where does the wormhole go? why did i die? - this were the most common questions).

Great work! Regarding the last point, I would also suggest you implement a death animation, this would provide context to the player informing the state of the game.
